Any Ideas on how in Ovulation Test really works?

My husband and I are trying to have a baby( we already have children but it has been a while).Also I,am 34 is that to old the doctor said no but i,am not sure. The doctor suggested an Ovulation Test , but I,am a little confused when you see 2 pink lines does that mean you ovulate this very moment and how long does it really last ?Whatelse would be helpful in order to conceive? Ovulation Predictor Kits work by telling you about 12-36 hours in advance as to when you will ovulate. It measures the amount of LH in your urine, which increases greatly during ovulation. You will almost always see two pink lines on the test. To determine a positive result, the test line must be darker than the control line. There should be a picture in the test kit box. Once you get a positive result, you should ovulate within the next 12-36 hours, or about one to two days. You should begin having sex for the next three days. Also, check your cervical mucus, which can be a better indicator of ovulation. Your CM should be the consistency of raw egg whites.





34 isn't too old to concieve. It just may take you a bit longer than when you were younger. Folic acid is a type of vitamin. You can buy folic acid pills over the counter. These don't really aid in getting pregnant, but can help prevent birth defects.

Reply:Their is an easy test that gives happy face when lh is present and no face when not.those are easy.test from cycle day 11-18 when you see happy face bd(baby dance) that day and the next two days.good luck!
Reply:No, 34 isn't old! It's about average I suppose, so you're ok! When you take an ovulation test, if 2 lines show up then yes, it means you're ovulating soon, but you have a 24-48 hour window to have sex. They usually suggest waiting a few hours though after you find out you are becasue the egg might not be there yet and the sperm could die off. If you wanted something to help with conceiving, I'd try FertilAid, I hear great stuff about it.





And folic acid helps prevent early miscarriages usually. But FertilAid has folic acid in it already.
