How to choose the way to test the hardness?

I've got

a. Cubic boron nitride

b. Lead

c. Cold-drawn 0.5% C steel

d. Diamond

e. Caramel(candy)

f. Granite

and have to choose proper way to test their hardness.(HB HV HRA HRB Scleroscope HK )

PLEASE help me and explain why.

How to choose the way to test the hardness?
These are standard materials and you could apriori find out the possible hardnesses and select the range accordingly.

For an unknown material the way to find hardness would be to start with some median scale and according to the reading (whether it has gone above or below the scale) we change the scale.
