Is 70% on a test a C- or a D+?????????

Depends on how the instructor wants to skew it - usually if a C- would help your overall GPA he instructor would grade it that way....

Is 70% on a test a C- or a D+?????????
C- duh
Reply:When I taught school in FL it was a C, when I taught school in Fairfax County, VA it was a D+. When I was in college 70 was still flat out a C, so it all depends on where you are...
Reply:That all depends on the grading system of the school or the particular teacher giving the exam. Regardless, there is very little difference between a C- or a D+. Shouldn't you be striving for at least a B?
Reply:It depends on the scale that your school/instructor uses. They are either based on 8% or 10% breaks

10 % base

90-100 = A

80-89 = B

70-79 = C

60-69 = D

59 or lower = fail

8 % base

92-100 = A

84-91 = B

76-83 = C

68 - 75 = D

67 or lower = fail

So, a 70 is a C- on the 10% base; and a D on the 8% base.

The different universities that I have attended use the 8% base.
