What tests could you use to determine whether an unlabeled test tube contained an amino acid or a protein?

a.Biuret test

b. Ninhydrin test

c. Xanthoproteic test

What tests could you use to determine whether an unlabeled test tube contained an amino acid or a protein?
biuret detects peptide bonds-present in proteins, not in single amino acids

ninhydrin tests for amine groups, present in both proteins and amino acids, so it's not a good choice

i have no clue what xanthoproetic is, but regardless, biuret works just fine.
