Can you have pregnancy symptoms before a positive test?

I am in my 2nd month of trying for my 4th after stopping the pill. The first month I had to wait about 36 days before I started Sept.12- I figured it was long b/c my body was adjusting to no pill. Going on a normal 28 day cycle (which is what I had before the pill) I should start Tuesday the 9th - 2 days. I tested today - 2 diffrent test- with first urine and it was negative on both early result tests. However, I do feel sick to my stomach and have a headache this morning. I also had a metallic tast in my mouth a week ago for 3 days. Is there any chance that the test was wrong?? I know I will just have to test again in a few days if I don't start, but just asking if anyone felt sick before getting a ++++ test. Thanks!

I think these symptoms are typical of your body still adjusting to being without the pill.

But it could be pregnancy symptoms.

Good luck!!!
Reply:I have had five children and I knew I was pregnant before I found out officially. Feeling sick might be just an anxiety you are feeling. Be patient and wait a while, you will soon know if you are pregnant. Sore breasts like you get before a period are a good sign. good luck.
Reply:Yep, you just might be pregnant! I did 3 tests before it showed positive, and they were all around the time my period was due. I did them all correctly, but it just took a while before the hormone was strong enough to mark the stick. I felt different, sore boobs, and was a bit off colour, all before the test was positive.

I reckon the more you look for pregnancy symptoms then it is more likely you will actually notice them. First pregnancy was like this, the second was a surprise and I didn't notice a thing until about 5 1/2 weeks. Good luck with everything :-)
Reply:I had all the pregnancy symptoms before taking the test. I took the test and it was Neg. I gave a few more days and it was Pos. and they were both the ones that tell you five days before ur missed period and my first test was the day of my missed period so you may be pregnant even if it was Neg. Good Luck
Reply:depends on when you take the test, every woman is different.
Reply:Yes, there is always a chance that a negative is wrong, esp. before you've missed a period. Most women won't feel sick to their stomachs or get headaches because of pregnancy even before their periods were due. But, I guess it's possible - some women are just more sensitive to the pregnancy hormones than others. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, though, that your body would be reacting so strongly to pregnancy, yet you wouldn't have enough hcg to be detected by the test. I would just wait a few more days to see if you miss your period, and if it doesn't come when expected, take another test then.
