I took a hpt today(my period is 2 days late), it came up neg pobably b/c it's too early to tell. So I was just wondering when would be a good time to take a blood test?? Oh, and another question, if you've just come off BC a month ago, had a period right after you came off, and waiting for your next period(like I am now) how long does it take for your period to come if you were irregular b4 getting onto BC?? Just curious!!
How early should you get a blood pregnancy test??
Well, if you are 2 days late you would be far along enough for almost any home pregnancy test to come up positive. Most doctors do not do a blood pregnancy test without a positive urine test. Odds are, your HPT was a correct negative.
You could start your next period at any time, really, if you were irregular before starting BCP. If it is longer than 8 weeks, you can talk with your doctor about ways to help regulate it. Good luck!
Reply:if your are pregnant the home test whould have been + but there is always room for error if you live near maryland general hospital they have blood tests free you can always call to your local hospitals to see if they do it if you can wait id take another in about a week im not sure about your period if you were already irregular
