Would pH level of vitamin c lower or rise if more were added to water?

i tried adding different amounts of vitamin c to water and then testing the pH level but i saw no difference in the levels.

Should the pH level have risen or lowered?

Vitamin C is another name for Ascorbic acid, so by adding more to water, the pH should have decreased with the added acid.

If this is a lab, don't bother changing your answer of no pH change. The point of labs is to write a good discussion and not about whether you get the "expected" answer or not.

[Answer: see above]
Reply:Vitamin C is weak sugar acid that is structurally related to glucose. When added to water it reacts with hydrogen ions to form ascorbic acid. But the amount of acid is and if it is going to change the ph will depend on how much water you have and the concentration of vitamin C
