Pd is 13 days late which is very unusual to me b/c I start right on time every month like clockwork. I stopped

taking my b/c roughly 2 months ago, and have had unprotected sex since then. I took an hpt after being 9 days late (3 days ago) and it was neg. I was looking for suggestions as to when I should test again and how long I should wait before going to the dr. I am trying to not get my hopes up and I dont want to make myself believe I am preg when in fact I am not. Thanks!

If your 13 days late then I don't think your pregnant if it came up negative but if I were you I would go to a DR and tell them whats going on you could have a cyst that can cause you to have a missed period or it could be that you just got off your BC or you may be one of the type of women that don't show up on hpt so you have to get a blood test and a Dr can do all of that for you...good luck
Reply:You could still wait a little while. Although, you know that those tests are not 100% accurate.
Reply:I took the HPT test 10 days after I my missed period, you can take one now, but try taking it with the first urine of the day, it's more concentrated so it might give a more accurate reading. If it still comes out negative, make a doctors appointment to get checked and to make sure it's not something else, or to get some blood work done, maybe your HCG levels are not high enough for the home test to detect, and blood test would be more accurate.

Reply:Wait 2 or 3 more days to test again, and don't get too discouraged...I was 26 days late before I finally got a positive result. Go to the doctor if you get a positive result, or if your next period time comes around and you still haven't had one.
Reply:It took 3 hpt to finally get a positive for me. 2 said negative but I was late and knew some thing was going on. I took the 3rd when I was prob about 2 1/2 weeks late. I would wait a few more days and try another. If that one is still neg. make an appointment and have a blood test to see. Good luck!
