Quick question about the California motorcycle license test.?

I'm really interested in getting an M1 license and, while I know how to go about this, there is just one thing I'm confused about. I have never had a driver's license. I was wondering if I still complete the MSF course and get a permit, do I still have to take the road test at the DMV?

In summation, I don't have a drivers (Class C) license, so if I complete the MSF course and permit, do I still need to take the road test?

Quick question about the California motorcycle license test.?
Ok If you take the MSF course in Ca you will be given a license without any further riding courses or tests at dmv. DMV will ask for proof of MSF completion then give you your license. Its That easy.

If you want a class C you will still have to take the class C written and driving test though.
Reply:I don't believe you'd need to do both. I'd check the California DOT website, I'm sure the answer is there.
Reply:Both in Illinois MSF and DOT road test. Call your local PD, ask to speak w/an officer.
Reply:There is no such thing as a motorcycle permit, it is an endorsement to your class C license, you will need to get your class C first, then your motorcycle endorsement, and yes there is a road test for both.
