of each substance..

. Distinguish between each of the following pair of substances by giving both test and the result expected of each substance:

a. albumin and gelatin

b. tryptophan and tyrosine

c. alanine and tyrosine

d. a dipeptide and a tripeptide

. Distinguish between each of the following pair of substances by giving both test and the result expected?
albumin should be very water soluble

tyrosine has a hydroxyl with pKa at about 10. you can titrate it with a strong base and it should have 3 equivalence points, whereas tryptophan should only have 2

tyrosine will absorb light at 280nm (i think), while alanine will not

dipeptides will absorb less light than tripeptide when both at the same concentration since it only has 1 peptide bond, while tripeptides have 2.

or...you can just do mass spec on all of these
