I am moving into a place with an induction cooktop. I have an old but good set of Lagostina pots. I can't do the magnet test just yet (b/c they are currently packed) but I tried it on a cheap ikea pot and it stuck strong (it didn't stick to my nice frying pan - oh well). I just want to be sure that this is sufficient and there is nothing else I should be aware of.
Thanks!
Is the magnet test enough (i.e., it sticks to bottom of pot) to be sure that it is safe for induction cooking?
The pans must definately be magnetic to work on an induction hob as i have one myself. If it isn't magnetic the heat can't penetrate through the metal.
