Can I test positive 2 weeks after a d and c?

could i be pregnant or would it be from the first pregnancy?

Can I test positive 2 weeks after a d and c?
Depends on how far along you were and the reason for the D%26amp;C. The odds are the hormones are elevadrd from the initial pregnancy. Usually after a D%26amp;C the uterus is not in a good condition for an egg to implant. Also, it was not a good idea to have sex that soon after a D%26amp;C. give it 2 more weeks, and if you have a positive pregnacy test still, see your doctor.
Reply:It's almost certainly from the first pregnancy; it's unlikely that your body has had enough time to build up a sufficient uterine lining to sustain a pregnancy.
Reply:It is most likely still positive from the first pregnancy. It can take some time for the levels to return to zero. You should go to the doctor for blood tests to see if your levels are going up or down. If they are going up, then you are pregnant again. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope if this isn't it, it happens soon.
Reply:Yes, it can take at least 2 weeks (sometimes even longer) to test negative after being pregnant, depending on how far along you were. It doesn't matter if you had a D%26amp;C, a full term birth, miscarriage, or abortion, your body needs time for your hormone levels to regulate. You should wait about 4 weeks from the day of the procedure to take another test. If it is still positive, you should call your OB. During this time you are also highly likely to get pregnant again, but your body is NOT ready to carry another baby. Avoid unprotected sex for atleast a few months even if you do want to pregnant, again to lower your chances of having a miscarriage.
